Tax Reporting
Tax Report Redesign + CSV Transaction Details (DE / AT / CH)
We’ve fully overhauled the tax report for Germany, Austria, and Switzerland — cleaner, more structured, and easier to understand. The new design also scales seamlessly to future countries.
You now get:
- A clearer taxable summary
- A detailed breakdown plus a new tax-free section for full visibility of your year’s transactions
- Improved transaction details with label-level breakdowns
- A new “Type” column showing exactly how each transaction was processed (e.g., quantity adjustments are now clearly flagged)
To improve usability, the report is now split into separate files:
Main Tax Report, Transaction Details, and Tax Forms — no more massive bundled PDFs.
And for power users and tax advisors:
We’ve added a CSV export of the Transaction Details. Perfect for deeper analysis and also helps us catch and fix edge cases faster.

New Asset Type for Xstocks: Securitised Derivatives
We’ve introduced support for securitised derivatives (e.g., TSLAX), widening the range of assets we can correctly process in your reports and calculations.
While the usage today is still limited, this asset class is expected to play a growing role in the future 📈.
From a tax perspective, securitised derivatives are generally treated similarly to other derivatives in most countries.
However: In Austria, securitised and unsecuritised derivatives are taxed differently.
That’s why we introduced a dedicated Xstocks category with its own tax logic — ensuring accurate reporting and clean compliance from day one.
💡Why it matters: Securitised derivatives are becoming more common on modern investment platforms — and with that comes added tax complexity. You can invest with confidence knowing your reports stay correct, no matter what new assets brokers introduce.
New Labels for Borrowing & Margin Trading
We rolled out two new transaction labels — Receive Loan and Repay Loan — to make tracking loan-related activity clearer and more intuitive.
- Receive Loan – when you receive assets as a loan
- Repay Loan – when you repay borrowed assets
These labels also lay the groundwork for full Bitpanda Margin Trading support.
💡Why it matters: Loan and margin transactions can distort balances and tax calculations if not labeled correctly. These new labels ensure cleaner data and more accurate reports — even when leverage is involved.
Transaction Import
Bitpanda SSO
After more than a year of close collaboration — from product strategy to deep technical integration — we’re excited to launch our newest Blockpit upgrade: seamless Single Sign-On with Bitpanda.
New users can now log in instantly using their Bitpanda credentials. Your Blockpit account is created automatically, your tax country is pre-selected, and the Bitpanda integration starts syncing right away. Zero friction, zero setup effort.
💡Why it matters: Connecting Blockpit to Bitpanda has never been easier. SSO removes onboarding hurdles, reduces setup errors, and ensures users get an accurate, ready-to-use tax profile from day one.
Kraken – Connect Account
Log in to Blockpit directly using your Kraken credentials — no API key required. Simply enter your Kraken login, and your integration is created automatically.
💡 Why it matters: Connecting Blockpit to Kraken has never been easier. Kraken Connect removes onboarding friction, prevents setup mistakes, and gives you an accurate, ready-to-use tax profile from day one.

Usability
Unified Recalculation – One Button to Rule Them All
We’ve completely streamlined how recalculation works across Blockpit. The “Calculation” button now lives permanently in the navigation bar — always visible, always accessible.
Behind the scenes, we unified the full recalculation logic. No matter whether you’re on Transactions, Tax Figures, Tax Results or Tax Optimization: One press = one full, consistent recalculation flow.
And when you hit Generate Report, it now performs a full recalculation and immediately generates your tax report. Clean, predictable, transparent.
💡Why it matters: A single, consistent calculation flow means fewer surprises, fewer mistakes, and maximum clarity — especially for users who just want things to “work.”
Disable Sync for API Integrations
You can now disable syncing for any API integration while keeping it visible in your integrations list. This gives you full control: the connection stays stored, but Blockpit won’t automatically fetch new data until you re-enable it.
💡Why it matters: Perfect for pausing inactive accounts or avoiding unwanted imports — without deleting or re-adding integrations later.
Design & Buttons Update
We’ve refreshed one of the most important UI elements in Blockpit: text inputs.
Clearer visuals, cleaner states, better readability — and a modernized code foundation that makes the UI more consistent and accessible.
All button types now follow a unified style with clearer hierarchy and more consistent spacing, making actions easier to understand and interactions more predictable.

Blockpit Store Page Now Live!
We’re excited to launch our redesigned Blockpit Store Page and shopping cart!
In this first rollout phase, you can now purchase multiple licenses in a single transaction directly in the web app.
We’ve also simplified billing management: the old “Receipts” section in Settings now takes you straight to the Stripe Billing Portal, where you can download receipts or manage subscription details anytime.
